Eston death: Two men arrested on suspicion of Lee Pettite murder

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 22-year-old man in Middlesbrough.

Lee Pettite was found with serious chest injuries in Oakley Walk in Eston at about 17:00 GMT on Tuesday.

Cleveland Police said they believe Mr Pettite received the injuries in Woodcock Close, where he lived, before staggering to where he was found.

Two men aged 22 and 20 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are being questioned by detectives.

Mr Pettite was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he later died. A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out later.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with private CCTV in the area.
