Teesside drugs raids: Nineteen people arrested

Nineteen people have been arrested after drugs worth thousands of pounds were seized by police.

Raids over Christmas recovered £11,000 of drugs believed to be heroin, cocaine, cannabis and amphetamine, Cleveland Police said.

Cash, laptops and car keys believed to have been taken in burglaries were also recovered.

Insp Steve Kappel said the raids made it clear drugs use was "unacceptable and it won't be tolerated".

A 22-year-old woman, a 27-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man have been charged with drugs offences.

The remaining 16 people have been bailed pending further inquiries.
