Darlington's Red Hall £23m housing scheme well under way

The first phase of a £23.3m project to build more than 160 new council houses in Darlington has been completed.

Darlington Council, which is spending £20.1m on the scheme, said tenants have moved into eight new flats in Deepdale Way, Red Hall.

Work has also begun on 24 more flats and 10 news houses in the area due to be finished by August 2016.

The rest of the £3.2m needed is being provided by the Homes and Communities Agency.
