Seven teenagers have denied the murder of a man who died weeks after being attacked in a Teesside street.

Shane Tunney, 24, suffered head injuries on 27 June in Holly Street, Norton, and died five weeks later.

Kieron Harry Davis and Brandon Pitt, both 18, and five youths aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named, all pleaded not guilty to murder.

All seven were remanded in custody and will stand trial at Teesside Crown Court on 6 April.

Mr Davis, of Holme House Road, Stockton, and Mr Pitt, of Tithe Barn Road, Stockton, along with the five other defendants, also deny attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to another man, with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.
