A fire at a derelict hotel on Teesside was started deliberately, an investigation has found.

The Tall Trees Hotel in Kirklevington in Yarm was set on fire in June, with fire crews tackling the blaze for more than 10 hours.

Damage was caused to the disused nightclub and leisure complex section of the site.

A joint investigation between Cleveland Fire Brigade and Cleveland Police found that the fire was started deliberately.

Cleveland Police said it was appealing for anyone with any information about the fire to come forward.
