Middlesbrough driver Stephen Horne dies after bus stop crash

A man has died two days after his car crashed into a bus stop on Teesside.

Stephen Horne, 58, was driving a Ford Focus which hit the bus stop on Flatts Lane, Normanby on Sunday. There were no waiting passengers.

Mr Horne, from Middlesbrough, was taken to the town's James Cook University Hospital with multiple injuries.

A spokesman for Cleveland Police said an investigation into the cause of the crash was ongoing. No-one else was hurt in the incident.
