A177 crash death woman's family pay tribute

The family of a woman killed in a crash on Teesside have described her as the life and soul of the community.

Christine Nicholson was driving a Ford Fiesta which was involved in a collision with a flat bed truck carrying coal on the A177 on Wednesday.

The 51-year-old, of Trimdon Village, County Durham, died at the scene near Thorpe Larches, Stockton.

Her family said that she "endorsed everything positive in life" and would be sorely missed by all who knew her.

The statement added: "She was the life and soul of the community and a very sociable person."
