A1 in Darlington closed overnight for resurfacing work

The A1 in Darlington is to be closed overnight for resurfacing work.

The Highways Agency said the closures were necessary to repair areas damaged by vehicle fires and to resurface the hard shoulder.

The road will be closed northbound between junction 59, the Coatham Mundeville interchange, and junction 60 at Bradbury.

The work will be carried out from 27 September to 6 October. Motorists are advised to plan ahead to avoid delays.
