Cyclist killed in A19 lorry crash identified as Christopher Griffiths

A cyclist who died in a collision with a lorry on Teesside has been identified by police.

The crash, on Monday morning, happened on the A19 about half a mile before the A1027 junction, near Hartlepool.

Christopher Paul Griffiths, 50, from the Wynyard area, was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees where he was confirmed dead.

A 53-year-old man was arrested and bailed on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
