New Teesside windfarm substation plan thrown out

  • Published

A planning application for a new substation on the site of a proposed Teesside windfarm has been rejected.

Broadview Energy want to build the bigger control centre at the Hilton and Seamer site.

But Stockton Council has turned the application down after 90 people objected claiming it would have a detrimental impact on the landscape.

Geoffrey Corrigan, managing director of the power firm, said he was "disappointed" with the decision.
