Police name Hartlepool stab death man

Police have released the name of a man who died following a stabbing on Teesside.

Norman Hay was discovered with multiple wounds at an address on St Bees Walk, Hartlepool, on Tuesday morning.

The 38-year-old, from the town, was taken to Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital, but later died.

David Howard, 39, of St Bees Walk in Hartlepool, has been charged with murder and will appear before Teesside Crown Court on 16 November.

Five other men, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, have been released without charge.
