Man in court over Hartlepool stabbing murder


A man has appeared at court charged with murder after a stabbing in Hartlepool.

David Howard, 39, of St Bees Walk in Hartlepool, is accused of the murder of a 38-year-old man.

The victim died in hospital after being found with multiple wounds at an address in St Bees Walk on Tuesday.

Mr Howard was remanded in custody by Hartlepool magistrates and is due before Teesside Crown Court on 16 November.

Five other men, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, have been released without charge.
