Six arrested after man found stabbed in Hartlepool

Six people have been arrested after a man suffered serious stab wounds during a disturbance in Hartlepool.

The victim, 38, found at an address in St Bees Walk on Tuesday, remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Two men aged 29, one aged 38 and a 20-year-old were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, as was a man, 39, after he was treated for stab wounds.

A 52-year-old man arrested for assault was later re-arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said the victim, who has not been named, had suffered multiple wounds and had been taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough by air ambulance.
