Man stabbed in Middlesbrough street by cyclists

A man had to be taken to hospital after being stabbed by two cyclists in Middlesbrough.

The 34-year-old was stabbed after an altercation in the Ulla Street/Belk Street area of the town early on Wednesday.

Police said the altercation involved at least two men who were wearing dark clothing and riding bicycles.

He suffered numerous stab wounds and is being treated at Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital.
