Teesside street focus of two-day clean-up

Faulty street lighting and graffiti are to be tackled during a two-day cleaning up operation on a Teesside street.

Beginning on Monday, various improvement work will be carried out in Greenock Road, Owton Manor, Hartlepool, as part of the Safer Hartlepool Partnership.

Residents will also be offered free home fire safety checks and the chance to have items that could be used to start fires removed, such as old mattresses.

The scheme is a joint initiate between Hartlepool Council, Victim Support, Cleveland Fire Brigade and Cleveland Police.
