A man who died when he fell four storeys through the ceiling of a flat has been identified.

Daniel Dawson, 25, who was from St Leonards, fell through the corrugated plastic ceiling of a kitchen annexe in a basement flat in Charles Road on New Year's Day.

Five people have been arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed.

Sussex Police have said Mr Dawson is thought to have fallen from a parapet after an incident in another flat.

In a tribute, Mr Dawson's family said he "lived his life to the full".

In a statement issued through police, they added: "He is sadly missed, as he always will be, by his mum, sister, brother, family and friends."
