Woman stabbed and beaten at Patcham travellers' site

A woman has been stabbed in the buttock and beaten during an assault.

The 37-year-old was attacked during an argument at Horsdean travellers' site in St Michael's Way, Patcham, East Sussex, police said.

She suffered a stab wound to her buttock and facial bruising during the incident, which happened overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.

A 35-year-old man known to her is being sought by police. Officers believe he may have fled to London.
