A man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and causing criminal damage after officers were called to a disturbance in Brighton city centre.

Sussex Police were called to Bartholomew Square just after 16:15 BST on Saturday after reports of a man climbing scaffolding and throwing objects to the ground.

A trained police negotiator was called in and the area was cordoned off.
