Second man arrested over Worthing and Lancing robberies
A second man has been arrested in connection with a series of armed robberies in West Sussex.
The 22-year-old man from Lancing was Tasered during the arrest at West Worthing railway station earlier.
Sussex Police said he was being questioned about a series of armed robberies in Worthing and Lancing between 1 August and 18 September.
A 30-year-old building labourer, of no fixed address, has been charged with possessing a firearm with intent.
The firearms charges are in connection with robberies at Sompting Mini Market in Seadown Parade on 13 August and Ladbrokes in Rowlands Road, Worthing, on 18 August.
He is also charged with burglary to inflict GBH and burglary with violence.
The burglary charges relate to an incident on 6 August when a man was assaulted in his home in St Elmo Road, Worthing, and are unrelated to the robberies.
