Man arrested over Lancing Pizza Hut armed robbery

A man has been arrested after an armed robbery at a Pizza Hut in which a gun was held to a staff member's head.

The offender made off with £1,000 following the raid at the North Road restaurant in Lancing on Sunday.

Sussex Police said they were linking the robbery with a series of attacks on individuals and bookies, convenience stores and takeaways in Lancing, Worthing and Sompting since 1 August.

A 34-year-old Worthing man has been released on bail until 27 October.

A vehicle was also seized by police and is being examined, Sussex Police said said.
