Pedestrian killed in Crawley car crash identified

A pedestrian, hit and killed by a car in Crawley, has been formally identified.

Sussex Police said Robert Sims, 30, of Crawley, was struck by a hatchback on the A23 Pease Pottage Hill, near the K2 Leisure Centre on Friday afternoon.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the car was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police have appealed for footage of the collision or the moments leading up to it.
