Janet Muller death: Jury retires to consider verdict
A jury has retired to consider the case of a man accused of murdering a student by placing her in a car boot and setting it on fire.
Christopher Jeffrey-Shaw, of Lakeside, Beckenham, denies murdering 21-year-old German national Janet Muller.
Her body was found in a burnt-out Volkswagen Jetta near Ifield Golf Club in West Sussex on 13 March last year.
The judge has told the jury to decide if Jeffrey-Shaw was guilty of murder or an alternative charge of manslaughter.
The jury of six men and six women began deliberations on Thursday and was sent out to continue on Friday morning.
The case continues on Monday.
