Three teenagers arrested after fire partially destroyed a primary school in East Sussex have been released from police bail without charge.

Two boys aged 14 and a 15 year old were arrested following the blaze at Shinewater Primary in Milfoil Drive, Eastbourne on 12 October.

No-one was injured in the fire, which destroyed the ground floor, first floor and roof of the building.

The boys were arrested on suspicion of arson and given police bail.

Extensive damage

A Sussex Police spokesman said there are no further lines of enquiry but appealed for anyone with further information about the fire to come forward.

Damage to the school was extensive and it was closed for several days.

All the children were able to return after the October half term.

The most badly damages areas were replaced by temporary classrooms.
