Woman killed in crashes on A23 near Pyecombe services named

A motorist who died after a crash on the A23 near Brighton has been named as Brianna Cambridge.

Ms Cambridge, 21, from Seaford, was driving one of four cars which crashed at about 04:00 GMT on Monday just north of the Pyecombe services.

Sussex Police described the weather conditions at the time as treacherous with heavy rain and hail.

The A23 northbound was closed for several hours between Patcham and Henfield to allow for recovery work.

There were no other serious injuries.
