Peacehaven driver arrested after Brighton fatal crash

A 29-year-old driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after his passenger died following a crash.

Alex Jackson, 19, from Brighton, died on Friday, the day after an accident involving a BMW and a Skoda in Warren Road in the city.

The driver of the BMW, from Peacehaven, has been bailed to 22 January.

A 26-year-old man from Brighton, who was driving the Skoda, suffered minor injuries in the collision.

Two other passengers in the BMW, both from Brighton, remain in hospital with serious injuries.

An 18-year-old woman is being treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, while a 22-year-old man is at St George's Hospital in Tooting, south London.
