Brighton attack leaves man seriously injured

A teenager has been arrested after a man was kicked and punched in Brighton and left with a serious head injury.

Sussex Police said the attack in Manchester Street at about 05:00 BST could have been linked to an earlier robbery in the Old Steine.

The victim, 20 and a Czech national, was taken to a neurological centre for specialist treatment.

A 17-year-old from Brighton, arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, is currently in custody.
