Brighton murder suspects released on bail

Three men arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who died after being found with head injuries at a property in Brighton have been bailed.

Nicholas Widgery, 26, from Newham, East London, was found in Upper Rock Gardens at about 04:20 BST on Friday. Police and paramedics could not revive him.

A post-mortem examination was not able to establish the cause of death. Toxicology results are awaited.

The three suspects, aged 41, 28 and 24, have been bailed until 4 September.

Sussex Police said all three came from Brighton. Officers had been granted extra time to question the men, which expired at 02:00 BST.
