Teenager charged over Millais School fire in Horsham

A 16-year-old girl has been charged over a fire at a girls' school in West Sussex.

The fire, which badly damaged the top floor of Millais School in Depot Road, Horsham, broke out about 15:00 GMT on Thursday.

The girl, who was arrested on Sunday, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life.

She was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates' Court, Sussex Police said.

More than 30 firefighters tackled the blaze, which closed Depot Road for several hours.

Millais School is a comprehensive for students aged 11-16.
