Man rescued from behind wardrobe in Brighton flat

A man has been rescued by a fire crew after becoming stuck behind a wardrobe while moving it in a Brighton flat.

He became lodged behind the furniture in the flat in The Highway in the city at about 14:00 GMT on Tuesday.

He managed to call East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service on his mobile phone who freed him from behind the cupboard.

A spokesman from the fire service said the man had been on his own when he decided to move the wardrobe and suffered no injuries.
