Man pleads guilty to East Grinstead cemetery rape

A man has pleaded guilty to the rape of a woman in a cemetery in West Sussex.

The victim, in her 20s, was attacked at Mount Noddy Cemetery, on a path between Moat Road and Badgers Way in East Grinstead, at 02:00 BST on 1 June.

Tyrone Carr, 27, of High Street, East Grinstead, also pleaded guilty at Lewes Crown Court to sexual assault and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced at the same court on 4 October.
