Man, 58, charged over teen sex attack in Burgess Hill

A 58-year-old man has been charged with attempted rape after a teenage girl was attacked in West Sussex.

The 16-year-old was attacked in Park Road, Burgess Hill at about 18:15 BST on Sunday, Sussex Police said.

The man has also been charged with failing to stop for police on the A272 at Bolney and with failing to provide a specimen of breath.

The man from Henfield is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates' Court later. Any witnesses are asked to call police.
