Man 'hit with gun' during robbery in Haywards Heath

A man has been hit over the head with what appeared to be a gun during a burglary at his partner's flat in West Sussex, police say.

The 21-year-old woman reported two men in balaclavas had forced their way into her home in Newton Court, Haywards Heath in the early hours of Wednesday.

The 26-year-old man was treated in hospital for minor head injuries.

Sussex Police said they may have been deliberately targeted in the robbery in which computers and cash were taken.
