A 22-year-old woman has been arrested over the murder of a man who suffered head injuries during a fight in Sussex.

Lee Molineau. 46, of no fixed address, died in hospital on Wednesday following an altercation with two women in Seaside Road, Eastbourne, on 24 July.

The woman was detained in the early hours in Eastbourne, and is being questioned on suspicion of murder.

Ruby Heard, 25, of Lexden Drive, Seaford, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

She is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 23 August.

'Lovable rogue'

Sussex Police believe a man intervened during the fight and assaulted Mr Molineau before running off.

He was described as being white, in his early 30s, of tanned complexion, 6ft tall and of stocky, athletic build.

Officers said an address in Eastbourne had been searched in the hunt for him.

The family of Mr Molineau described him as "a happy-go-lucky, lovable rogue, loved by his family and friends".
