Van hit by bricks thrown from bridge on A27

A van has been damaged after bricks were thrown by two youths from a flyover in Sussex.

A white Citroen Relay van was travelling east on the A27 between the Hampshire border and Chichester at about 18:00 GMT on Sunday.

It was hit by a brick and the windscreen smashed as it passed under a bridge near Emsworth.

The van driver from Selsey was not injured, but was left shaken, Sussex Police said.

Police have asked for anyone who saw the two youths to contact them.
