Woman charged over blind Hastings man's pension cash theft

A woman has been charged after an 83-year-old man who is almost blind had his pension money stolen as he left a Hastings post office.

The pensioner had withdrawn the money from the post office in Cambridge Road, on 15 November.

Zoe Davenport, 26, of no fixed address, has been bailed and is due at Hastings Magistrates' Court on 2 January.

Since the attack two members of the public have contacted Sussex Police to donate money to the victim.
