Caroline Palmer dies following Cuckfield road crash

A woman who was seriously injured in a three-vehicle collision in West Sussex has died in hospital.

Caroline Palmer, 56, of Guildford, Surrey, was injured in the crash on the A272 in Cuckfield on 5 December.

Sussex Police said a 50-year-old man from Essex, who was a passenger in Ms Palmer's BMW, remained in hospital with life-changing injuries.

The 33-year-old driver of a Ford van is in a serious but stable condition at Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Centre.

The male driver of the third vehicle, a Toyota Rav4, was treated for minor injuries.

Sussex Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash to contact officers.
