Five arrested over Crawley Asian jewellery thefts

Four men and a woman have been arrested over a series of jewellery thefts on Asian families in West Sussex.

Sussex Police were criticised by community leaders after more than 40 homes were targeted in the past three months in the Crawley area.

In each incident, jewellery worth between £1,000 and £30,000 was taken.

One of the five arrested - a 24-year-old man from Essex - has been charged with burglary and remanded in custody. The other four people were bailed.
