Sussex Police arrest three people over Lancing attack

Two men and a boy have been arrested over an assault in West Sussex in which a teenager was seriously injured.

Officers were called to North Road, Lancing, at about 22:30 GMT on Friday and discovered an 18-year-old man unconscious in the street.

He was taken to hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.

Sussex Police said two men, aged 46 and 48, were questioned on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of affray.

They have been bailed until January.

Det Insp Alan Pack said the investigation was at an early stage and he was keeping an open mind as to how the victim came to be injured.
