'Armed' robber raids Hastings betting shop

A robber thought to be armed raided a betting shop in East Sussex and threatened two members of staff.

Coral bookmakers in Queen's Road, Hastings, was raided at about 20:40 GMT on Tuesday.

Police said the women handed over cash from the till before the suspect, who indicated he had a weapon in his coat, made off towards Robertson Street.

He was described as white, in his late 20s, of slim build with pale skin and wearing blue jeans and trainers.

No customers were in the premises at the time of the incident, and neither of the staff were injured.
