Man faces rape charges after Crimewatch appeal

A 27-year-old man has been charged with three counts of rape, after an appeal on the BBC's Crimewatch programme.

Michal Tejkowski, from Maidstone, Kent, is accused of raping a 17-year-old girl in Dyke Road, Brighton, on 15 February, a case featured on Crimewatch in May.

He is also charged with two counts of rape of a 25-year-old woman in a car park in Brighton on 10 March.

Sussex Police said Mr Tejkowski appeared before Brighton magistrates on Saturday and was remanded in custody.

During the hearing, he was also recharged with a sexual assault on a 67-year-old woman in Moat Park, Maidstone, on 6 May.

Officers said he had previously been arrested by Kent Police and charged with this offence which had also been added to the indictment.

He is due to appear before Lewes Crown Court on 19 August.
