Three held after fight at Brighton party involving axe

Three men have been arrested for public order offences after reports of a man wielding an axe at a party in Brighton.

Sussex Police were called to a disused building in New England Road, Brighton, at 0330 GMT on Saturday.

Officers found about 100 people at the site, some of whom were fighting with each other. They said attempts to restore order were met with resistance.

An axe was recovered from the building, and the three men were later released on police bail.

Police said they were investigating one report of assault, and appealed for witnesses to the incident to contact them.
