Man charged over Brighton street robberies

A man has been charged over five street robberies which took place within days of each other in Brighton and Hove.

The 18-year-old local man is due before magistrates in the city charged with five counts of robbery and five counts of possession of a bladed article.

The robberies happened between 27 January and 1 February, police said.

Two 17-year-old local boys were also arrested. One has been cautioned for handling stolen goods, while the other has been released without charge.
