Man jailed for role in Brighton Rolex robbery

A 28-year-old man has been jailed for his part in a series of raids that netted millions of pounds worth of watches and jewellery.

Kevin Cook, 28, of Wiston Road, Hackney, east London, was sentenced to seven years in prison at Kingston Crown Court on Friday.

He previously pleaded guilty to three counts of conspiracy to commit robbery.

One of the charges relate to a raid at a Brighton store in which Rolex watches were stolen.

Cook was among 30 career criminals who were sentenced on Thursday and Friday for their part in 34 raids across southern England, London, the West Country and East Anglia between January 2008 and May 2009.
