Appeal after girl, three, hit by car in Pevensey

A three-year-old girl was been hit by a car as she crossed the road with two adults in Sussex.

Police said the girl suffered bruising to her head and shoulder in Pevensey on Monday afternoon.

A 69-year-old male driver was helping officers with their inquiries after the incident, police said.

Officers have urged anyone who saw the incident in Stone Cross, at the junction of Adur Drive and Tillingham Way at about 1530 GMT, to contact them.

The car involved was a Lexus RX300.
