Hove post office raids 'could be linked'

An armed raid on a Sussex post office in which a bag of cash was taken could be linked to three other robberies, detectives said.

In the latest raid on Thursday evening, a man threatened staff with a gun at the post office in Western Road, Hove, and took a quantity of cash.

Police are investigating possible links with three other robberies at a post office in nearby Melville Road.

A £25,000 reward has been offered for information leading to a conviction.

Officers said staff handed over a quantity of notes in the incident in Western Road on Thursday.

The offender put the money in a cream-coloured cotton bag and ran out of the building.

The other incidents that could be linked to the latest raid took place on 27 September, 4 October and 9 December, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the force.
