Man charged over attack on motorist in Hove

A 35-year-old man has been charged with the assault of a driver in Hove, which left him with serious head injuries.

Paul Lambeth, of Stafford Road, Brighton, in Sussex, is due before Brighton magistrates on Saturday.

Tony Magdi, 52, from Hove, was assaulted on Sunday after opening his car door in Portland Road as three cyclists passed.

He remains in a stable but critical condition at Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre, in Haywards Heath.
