A man has been arrested after a woman suffered head injuries when her car was forced off the road at speed.
The 38-year-old man from Portslade, West Sussex was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop at an accident scene.
It followed an incident on Saturday on the A23 at Albourne when the woman's Renault Clio overturned after being forced off the road by a Mini.
The man was released on bail until 9 December pending further inquiries.
The woman, from Horsham, also aged 38, was treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for her injuries.
Police have appealed for anyone who saw the crash or either of the vehicles beforehand to come forward.
