Shopkeeper injured during knife-point raid in Crawley

A shopkeeper was injured when he snatched a knife from a masked man during a raid at a Crawley newsagents.

The man received a cut to his hand when he grabbed the weapon from one of two robbers who threatened him at the store in Southgate Parade.

The raiders then hit the shopkeeper in the face before stealing cash from the safe at about 0655 BST on Saturday.

Sussex Police have appealed for anyone with information about the robbery to contact them.
