Seventh arrest in Crawley fight inquiry

A seventh arrest has been made after a "planned fight" in West Sussex left two men with serious head injuries.

A 35-year-old man is still in hospital after the fight which happened late on Wednesday night in Queensway, Crawley.

A 20-year-old man handed himself in at Brighton police station on Saturday night and was bailed.

Police are seeking an eighth suspect - a man of Afro-Caribbean appearance, aged in his 20s, about 6ft tall, muscular and with a local accent.

A 43-year-old man who suffered a head injury has left hospital.

Police said the 35-year-old man's condition was improving and he had been able to speak to police.

Four other suspects have been bailed pending further inquiries and two have been released with no further action to be taken.
