Police arrest sixth man over 'planned fight' in Crawley

A sixth man has been arrested in connection with a "planned fight" in Crawley that left two men with serious head injuries.

Sussex Police said the man was being questioned on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and affray.

Two men, aged 35 and 43, were injured during the fight in Queensway in the town centre at about 2300 BST on Wednesday.

A spokesman for the force said they were in a stable condition in hospital.

Officers were called to an area behind an Argos store after receiving reports of a fight and people being attacked.

Two men, aged 24 and 25, who were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, have been bailed until 28 October.

A 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm has been bailed until 29 October.

Police said no further action will be taken against two other men arrested in connection with the attack.
